Games Console Stockists in Sheffield

Computer games consoles have taken the UK by storm in recent years and for late 2013 there are two games console models  that are sure to be in short supply for purchasers!

Tipped to be the Nation's favourite for this year is the new console from Sony electronics; the Sony PS4.

At the time of writing this article it is planned that the PS4 will be launched and available in Sheffield stockists at the end of November, just in readiness for Christmas.

The other new game console to be launched is the Microsoft XBOX One. This console though is thought to be more costly having a projected sale price of about £100.00 over and above what the Sony PS4 will sell for at stockists and computer outlet shops within Sheffield.

Sony Playstation PS4

The new Sony PS4 looks similar in appearance to the Playstation 2 that was one of the top selling games consoles in its time. The console has rectangular styling and is finished in a striking matt black finish. The appearance is of sharp edges that add to it's chunky styling, representing two large slabs that have been bonded together. Totally different to the previous PS3 console the PS4 will look great next to any modern black coloured flat screen TV.

The controller has took an opposite turn being more rounded in shape than a PS3's and very similar to an XBOX controller.

Microsoft XBOX One

Also tipped to go on sale in Sheffield games console stockists this November; the XBOX One will be Microsoft's most expensive computer games console to-date.

At the time of writing it is anticipated that this update to the Xbox 360 will be on sale for around the £429.99 to £449.99 price point at dealers such as Argos, Curry's, PC World, WH Smith and several other stockists in the City of Sheffield.

A big improvement over the old console is the ability of XBOX One to now play blue ray discs, this is where previously the mighty Sony had a big advantage over Microsoft. The blue ray player should allow you to play the latest films in near HD quality as well as the latest games such as GTAV and the latest instalment of Call Of DUTY. The Xbox has always been a great tool for gamers to enjoy and the Xbox One is sure not to fall flat here.

As with the PS4 from Sony, the shape of the new Microsoft console is all sharp edges, a matt black finish, and a rectangular overall shape. Gone is the old disc tray being replaced with a disc slot as on the playstation. Inside this console it is anticipated that it will be shipped with an internal 500gb hard drive that works in conjunction with its optical  drive delivering the performance that Xbox owners have come to love.

No real changes have been made to the new XBOX One controller unit, as this has always been a great controller as far as ergonomics go.

So which of these two consoles will you be buying from your local Sheffield stockist? It's all down to personal preference and brand loyalty. If you are after the cheapest price then the Sony PS 4 will be the one you choose, and this doesn't mean you are going to end up with an inferior games console! Depending on what your are after the PS4 may turn out to be the most wanted console for Christmas this year and if you leave it until the last minute you will be searching online for dealers that have the Sony PS4 in stock.

The Xbox One will be in-demand because of the loyalty a lot of Microsoft users give to this brand, but at final release it could cause some disappointments. Early press releases had mention of users not being able to play second hand and pre-owned games which a lot of customers have relied upon to enjoy a cost saving over high street prices of brand new games. There has also been talk of the unit having to connect on-line to the internet each and every day in order to be used. If you don't have this facility or cannot afford the internet upload and download usage figure each month from your broadband provider then this could be a stumbling point - if this goes ahead. So, it's probably best to check out the latest details and requirements when the Xbox One goes on sale in Sheffield games console stockists before you take the plunge!

It will be a great shame if on final release date in the UK this console needs to be on-line "all the time" and won't play second hand discs / games! Let's keep our fingers crossed that Microsoft listens to it's customers and changes things for the best interests of gaming enthusiasts worldwide.
